Madeira Retreat Itinerary
Day One - Island Life Begins!
Arrive on the magical island of Madeira and check into our eco-nature retreat digs at 4pm!
Enjoy a bevvy on your cabin decking whilst you unpack and settle in
Explore the area, option to join us for some evening movement as a fun ice-breaker to get to know your fellow PEAKERS!!
Welcome Dinner for night one
Red wine, sunset vibes, chill, take in the views!!
Day Two - It's time to explore!
Breakfast & morning coffee at the retreat to get us all prepped for a big day of island exploring!
Head out together to take on the Alecrim Hike and Lagoa De Vento. A special walk in the heart of nature where you can switch off and fully immerse yourself in the wonders of Madeira. Waterfalls, view points, vibes! Enjoy Lunch out.
Short transfer to the beach where you have some free time to do as you wish. Maybe you want to explore the area, walk around, enjoy some downtime with a sangria on the beach! Your call hunnyyyyy.
Team dinner and debrief to chat about how well day two has gone.
Rum Punch night! It had to be done. A tradition we couldn't pass up on. Your PEAKIN' hosts will guide you how to make your own rum punch and then we can enjoy together whilst spending a full evening indulging and relaxing together as we enjoy our creations.
Day Three - Hike on hike on Hike!
Early rise PEAKERS!! We have a sunrise hike to complete. Take on the iconic Bica da Cana (see image below) and enjoy the viewpoint as the sun rises.
Breakfast at the top of the mountain as we take in our surroundings
We will then enjoy exploring the famous Fanal Forest hike!! These are two incredible experiences and we get to do them both.
We will then enjoy a picnic lunch (ideal) before we get ACTIVE!!
It's time for our afternoon Jeep Tour, the best way to view the island and all it has to offer!
Head back to the retreat for a freshen up and free time before you get ready for our FINALE evening!
Let the celebrations begin, it's time to get traditional as we head to watch a local Folklore Dance (why not join in?! cheeky gyal/boi!)

Madeira Hikes
Alecrim Hike and Vento Waterfall
We start by following an easy footpath along the Levada do Alecrim (Water channel) until we reach a beautiful waterfall called Dona Beja.
From here we take another footpath to go down to one of the most amazing waterfalls of the Island: Vento Waterfall.

Hike Fanal Enchanted Forest
Hike at the area of Fanal where we can find some of the oldest trees of the island.
We start by visiting an ancient vulcano crater.
From here we will follow the footpath that leads us to the view point of Fio, ending in the the magical forest of Fanal.

Bica Da Cana Sunrise Hike
"Above the clouds hike"

Bica da Cana Pinaculo hike trailhead is located in Canhas parish village of Ponta do Sol, which is basically in the center of Madeira Island.We will head here early to take in the sunrise as we stand above the clouds.

Perfect for two friends happy to share a large double bed or a couple. Two people sharing one double bed.
If you want to book with a friend drop us an email once you're both booked on and we will allocate you a pod together. (this is on a first come first serve basis). Ideal if experience this with someone you know in the community (reach out to them and ask!), your partner or friend/family member! Make it what you want hunnyyy!!

The perfect option for the PEAKER who wants to experience this with friends they are happy to share a room/bed! This option would be 2 people sharing 1x double bed and 1 person in a Single bed. FAQ'S
WHAT TIME DOES THE RETREAT START & END?
The retreat officially starts at 4pm on 28th September 2024, and ends at 10am on 1st October 2024.
WHICH AIRPORT DO I FLY INTO?
Madeira Airport. There are direct flights from London LHR that arrive at 13:20. You might even want to arrive the day before so we can make the most of our first full day together.
HOW DO I GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE RETREAT?
Transfers are included in the price of the ticket, so you will need to let us know your flight arrival and departures time so we can match you up with other PEAKERS arriving at similar times to get to the venue together.
CAN YOU CATER TO SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS?
Absolutely. We work closely with our partners and suppliers and can accommodate most dietary requirements. We will email you with a form to gather information about your dietary requirements a month before the trip start date
CAN I COME ON THE RETREAT ALONE?
Yessssss!!! 90% of our PEAKERS come on our adventures alone! We are an inclusive community that welcomes everyone with open arms, and we pride ourselves on introducing you to your future best mates. "Arrive as strangers, leave as friends!"
WILL I GET ANY FREE TIME ON THE RETREAT?
Yes, we always factor in downtime on the retreat so you can go and explore or take some moments of solitude.
IS MY DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE IF I DECIDE TO CANCEL THE TRIP?
The deposit is non-refundable and is used to secure your spot on the trip. If you decide to cancel your trip, we cannot refund your deposit. Please ensure you purchase adequate travel insurance to cover any fees you may incur if you have to cancel your trip.
WHAT IS THE PAYMENT SCHEDULE?
The payment schedule for this trip is detailed here: Deposit: Deposit of £300 at time of booking (non-refundable) Balance Payment: Remaining balance is due on June 28th, 2024.
I WANT TO SHARE A ROOM BUT I AM TRAVELLING ALONE, DO YOU ASSIGN ME SOMEONE TO SHARE WITH?
On this retreat if you are travelling alone we can offer wonderful single occupancy rooms. The shared rooms are for couples or friends as the bed is shared!
HOW DO YOU ASSIGN THE ROOMS?
Rooms are assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. Please note: all rooms are equal in terms of comfort.
ARE YOUR RETREATS JUST FOR WOMEN?
Nooooooo! We welcome anybody who is looking to reach new PEAKS and join a community of like-minded people.
IS TRAVEL INSURANCE INCLUDED?
We do not include travel insurance as everyone’s needs are different. However, having travel insurance in place for each person is a condition of your booking. Please ensure your travel insurance provider covers you for the following: Flight cancellation, trip payments, medical restriction preventing you from traveling, local and destination restrictions preventing you from traveling, assistance, including repatriation, in the event of accident, illness, or death.
WILL I NEED TO BRING CASH?
If you so wish! It's completely up to you. We recommend having some local currency just incase, and a bank card that you can use that doesn't charge you abroad.
Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION BY YOU - If you wish to cancel your booking, please inform us in writing as soon as possible and the effective date of any change shall be the date that we receive written notification from you. At that time, we will endeavour to re-sell your spot on the trip. Should re-sale not be possible, all payments made to date will be considered non- refunadble. It is a condition of your booking that you purchase adequate travel insurance to cover any costs you may incur if you have to cancel your trip. If Payments are not made on time we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain the Deposit.
CANCELLATION BY US - In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the trip for any reason then we will offer you the following options: A full refund of all monies paid, including your deposit, transfer of your booking, free of charge, to a future trip of the same value. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the trip for any reason, any flight tickets purchased by you will not be able to be refunded. It is for this reason that travel insurance is a mandatory condition of your booking.
